Saving water can reduce your water bill (if you’re on a water meter), reduce energy use and bills, reduce the impact on your local environment, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by using less energy to pump, heat and treat the water – it’s a no brainer!

Check for leaks on the supply pipe to your home on a regular basis. Turn off the internal stop cock or make sure no water is being drawn off for use in the house. Then look at the water meter to see if the numbers are going up. If they are you may have a leak in your supply.

Reed bed and greywater systems are a great way of cleaning bathwater for use elsewhere.

Raise the blades on your lawn mower, longer grass requires less water.
