Retailers and cosmetics brands have washed their hands of microplastics in personal care products!

Thousands of pledges from members of the public to “Scrub it out!” have helped us convince many UK retailers and brands that washes, scrubs, gels and pastes made from natural products are just as effective as any with microplastics, and won’t damage our seas.

The following UK retailers and brands are already microplastic free:

The following UK retailers and brands have pledged to remove microplastics from their own-brand personal care products by, or during 2015:

  • Asda
  • Boots
  • Marks & Spencer (Breaking news – six months ahead of schedule)
  • PZ Cussons
  • Sainsbury’s
  • Superdrug

The following UK retailers and brands have pledged to remove plastics from their own-brand personal care products at a later date:

  • Tesco by 2017
  • Wilko Retail Ltd by 2017
